Please see the below message from Jimmy Ames of UK Power Networks:

We are due to survey some of our overhead lines in your Parish over a 2-week period from 28 July, I and would like to provide you notice should any of your residents raise any concerns.

Our teams will be using drones to record the condition of the overhead lines, using cameras to capture images. I’ve included a rough outline of the overhead line route we are assessing (at the bottom of this email) and which the drones will be following.

The drones will be operated from strategic points along the route where we have gained the required permissions from local landowners.

Whilst large parts of the survey route are away from any residents, there are sections where we will be flying close to residential areas which, I appreciate, may raise concerns from some residents. I would like to reassure the Parish and all its residents as to the nature of our works, all images captured are to be used to assess the health of our electric cables and apologise if any inconvenience is caused.
